Attention alumni (who probably don't know this blog exists), current players, and people who quit the team because we started wearing shoes. I need your help! I'm attempting to compile a brief history of ISU Ultimate. I'll be doing it in a timeline format because I have neither the time nor motivation right now to do it any other way. So please send me whatever info you have about ISU Ultimate that you think is valuable, and the time it happened (please be as precise as possible. An actual date is preferred to "the day after me and dave drank that stolen 190-proof whiskey that chuck brought with him"). Here are some example of what I'm looking for, although feel free to send whatever you feel is relevent or funny:
-Old rosters
-Old pics
-First tournament we attended ever
-Any notable scores that you remember
-Any notable on-field wins that you remember
-Any notable off-field wins that you remember (i.e. party wins, naked lapping SIU)
-Our founder
-Our re-founder in the late 90s
-A past list of captains, and when they were captains
-Any tournaments we've won, or come close to winning
-Other major accomplishments of the club (Voting for officers, hosting a tournament, etc.)

-Jax Hat, July 28th 2008 Emily Flanders beats David Benda in a one-on-one disc chug, then throws up on Willy Mellor's leg.
-Oct. 5th, 2008 Lady Gnomes place 1st at Western Classic due to North Park being a bunch of whores.
-Trevor's scar from Wesleyan, sometime in January or February 2008, which made lady gnomes go wild for him.
-Jacob Herr and Pat Lott attempt their first disc chug. They pick up the disc while they chug. Sept. 18 2008
-That one night where we almost lost Jessica at the apartment on Cherry. January-February 2008
-Whiskey Disc for Corey Cox's 24th birthday January 30th, 2008?
-Stanley Cup I Party when Georgia wanted to kiss everyone. March 2008
Fall 2007- Lady Gnomes debut tournament(s). We won one game at either glory days or fall out.

ReplyDeleteIn response to a recent poll, Pete challenges Hollywood and Pat Moran to a 100m footrace. Suddenly a gorilla starts chasing Hollywood, who gets enough adrenaline to outrun the gorilla despite his recent surgical procedure. Pat finishes 3 seconds before Hollywood. Pete loses but still beats Flo-Jo's record.
but does Pete beat the gorilla?

ReplyDeleteHey, go figure, I was just going through an old hard drive of mine and I found all of the old pictures I had for the 2004 website. I need to sort through and see exactly what I have, but I'll let you know and get you the pictures. I'll probably just post them to my picasa site where you can download them from, unless you have a better idea.
